HCV 2011 Award Program

The HCV 2011 Symposium is pleased to offer a limited number of awards. Award recipients will receive five (5) nights of hotel accommodations at the host hotel, the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers, where all Symposium events will take place. The accommodations will be reserved by the Symposium Secretariat for arrival on Wednesday, 7 September, and departure on Monday, 12 September. The cost to stay any additional nights would be at the award recipient’s own expense.

Applicant Eligibility

Applicants must be Graduate Students, Post Doctoral Fellows or new Faculty within the first three years of their first faculty appointment.

The award is available to anyone who meets the above criteria, without geographical restrictions. Women and minority participants are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts and apply for an award. Support will be awarded based on the abstract ranking and availability of funds. Scholarships are awarded to the individual and are non-transferable.

Application Process

• Register for the Symposium and request an award during the registration process

  The following information is required by the funders and is requested on the registration form:

  • Principal Investigator or Department Chair’s name, organization/institution, mailing address and email
  • Gender
  • Ethnicity
  • Country of Citizenship
  • Status: Student, Post Doctoral Fellow or new Faculty Member
• Submit an abstract as a presenting author
• If accepted, provide a letter of support from your Principal Investigator (for Students and Post Doctoral Fellows) or Department Chair (for new Faculty Members) and a current Curriculum Vitae
