The HCV 2011 Local Organizing Committee has negotiated a special discounted group rate that is available to all symposium delegates. Additionally, a limited number of hotel rooms are available - for students only - at a further discounted “student” rate. The LOC feels strongly that it is optimal for students to mix with the other delegates and is employing the honor system, trusting that those rooms will be reserved by students only. All symposium events will be held at the Sheraton. The Symposium is obligated to utilize these discounted rooms, so please support our efforts by reserving your room today.
 

HCV 2011 Symposium Group Rates

Room rates are quoted here are in U.S. dollars (USD) and do not include applicable state and local taxes (currently 15.6%). Discounted group rates will be offered three days pre and post official symposium dates, subject to availability.

NOTE: All rooms are non-smoking. The fee for additional guests is $25 per person per night with a maximum of four (4) guests per room. Rollaway beds are available at $25 per night, and only for rooms with one (1) king bed only. Parking fees for drivers are additional. Please see below.

Don’t wait! Rooms at the group rate will be available until 8 August 2011, or until the group block is full, whichever occurs first.

Cancellation Policy

Guests must cancel their room reservation by 18:00 local time on the day prior to the day of arrival to avoid paying a penalty equal to one night’s room and tax.

Guests wishing to change their departure date must advise the hotel at or before check-in to avoid paying a $75 USD early departure fee.

Parking and Ground Transportation Options

The Sheraton Seattle Hotel Garage will give priority valet parking (self-parking is not available) to overnight guests at a rate of $41 inclusive per day. The Valet will direct other drivers and drivers of oversized vehicles to alternate parking options. 

Driving Directions from Seattle International Airport (I-5 Northbound)

Depart Sea-Tac Airport and follow the signs to the freeways. Take highway 518 East to I-5 North (Seattle). From I-5 North, take the Seneca Street exit (Exit 165 on the left side of the freeway). Stay to the right on the exit ramp and turn right onto 6th Avenue. The hotel entrance and valet parking will be on the right between Union and Pike streets.

Renaissance Seattle by Marriott – Located 4 blocks from the Sheraton, the 4-Diamond hotel has 553 beautifully appointed guestrooms with fantastic views of the city. The HCV Rate of $179.00 per night (plus taxes) includes high speed internet (normally $12.95/day) and self-parking (normally $30/day). All rooms are non-smoking and room types are 1 King Bed or 2 Double Beds. Corner King Suites are available at $209.00 per night, plus taxes. Guests must cancel their room reservation by 18:00 local time 72 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid paying a penalty equal to one night’s room and tax.

Airport

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located 20 minutes south of Seattle. Transportation options from the airport to the Sheraton include the Link Light Rail, taxi and limousine service, bus and airport shuttles. Additional airport information can be found at www.portseattle.org/seatac. 

Transportation to and from the Airport:

Guests are encouraged to consider Link Light Rail as a convenient and affordable transportation option. The one-way fare from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Westlake Center (approximately three (3) blocks from the Sheraton) is $2.50 and takes approximately 38 minutes.
